Sample a little of the lakeside lifestyle when you book a stay at the Lakeside Retreat in Lincolnshire.
This new sleeps 4-6 lodge is sited at the top of the biggest, most peaceful lake with open fields at the back.
The large decking has been designed as an extension to the lodge and this ‘outdoor room’ provides the perfect place to sit and watch life on the water. A canopy can be pulled across during the summer months to provide some pleasant shade, and at night solar lanterns create a warm ambience. With a secure 40ft wraparound verandah, and spacious decking with glass panels for uninterrupted views, the scene is set for a tranquil and relaxing stay as you enjoy the enormous sky and watch the activity on the lake.
There are steps down off the decking onto our own private jetty, where you can get really close to the water- why not hire paddle boards or kayaks (April to September) and visit the jetty from the sailing centre? A further set of steps take you to the enclosed garden. We are pleased to say that dogs are welcome by arrangement, at no extra charge.
The Retreat sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, please ask about additional guests as there is also a sofa bed.
Bedroom One has a walk in wardrobe and a bathroom (with a bath!) en-suite and a kingsize bed.
Bedroom Two may be made up as a double or twin, and it has its own shower room just across the corridor.
A travel cot is available by request, along with a high chair, with a small fee to cover set up and cleaning.
The lounge area has stunning views over the lake, and we have installed complimentary Mifi so you have internet. There is also a large smart TV and blu ray, so when you settle on the sofa you have everything that you need. We have even installed Air Conditioning, which is a very welcome addition as the lodge gets sunshine all day long!
The kitchen includes a seats 5 dining table, washing machine, full size fridge freezer, microwave, oven, grill, hob, toaster, cafetière and kettle. Please note, there is not a dishwasher!
Dogs are very welcome at no extra charge, and for their comfort we have a warm shower installed, with shampoo and towels, as well as crates, bowls and beds for your convenience.
We have a ‘leave it as you find it’ approach and therefore do not charge for dogs, but we ask that you bring your own bedding and throws of your dogs go on the furniture.
